Of course, I have known about the quotations listed below in Proverbs for a long time but as others have, I also failed to realize their very far reaching implications.   Simply speaking they convey a profound truth that many of our great thinkers have expressed in their own words.  As Earl Nightingale said, “you become what you think about”. In addition to our dominant thoughts, another element that affects our behavior and awareness is our sub-conscious image of ourselves; our I AM’s.  Ask any golfer his handicap?  He will probably state an I AM by saying; “My handicap is 27”.

We obtain our I AM’s from our view of ourselves and our view of how others see us.  If mom said you were a pretty girl or dad said you were a good ball player, well then you developed a healthy self-respect.  However if a teacher convinced you at an early age, that you were poor at mathematics or spelling or reading or whatever you may still view yourself as below average in that area, even now as an adult. It was after my son’s death that I was again brought back to the Truths of the mind and it’s workings.  If you know and practice mind transforming/rapid change therapy disciplines, then you can overcome the internal resistance of unwanted “I AM’s” and reprogram your sub-conscious.  You can even learn to go deeper and discover unresolved past experiences that are causing your sub-conscious mind to repeatedly play a self-crippling program of self-punishment, self-defeat or worse self-destruction.

We don’t have to be a slave to our thoughts, but we certainly will be unless we learn and practice to “bring every thought into captivity”.  Our thoughts partially function as our navigator.  Thoughts without purpose/intention become driven by feelings and defined by feelings, we become the victim of circumstantial emotions being tossed around and jerked back and forth.  Thoughts with awareness and definiteness of purpose become empowered by emotion to carry out beneficial action. With over 30 years experience teaching, coaching and training, Michael is uniquely trained and experienced to help you break through your own limiting barriers, the self-limiting, self-defeating or worse self-destructive sub-conscious thought habits.  Replacing the old you with a transformed you.
